Theresa has been a horse lover since birth, horse racing fan since Secretariat's Triple Crown win in 1973. Her grandfather, who was one of Man O'War's stable boys, introduced her to horse racing when she was 12 years old.

She lives in Colorado with her husband, Steve and their two dogs. She grew up in Queens (Flushing), New York and has lived in Colorado for 41 years.

Theresa has been in the insurance industry for 26 years, building and owning her insurance agency and currently works for that agency under new ownership.

​

She is very passionate about Jockeys and Jeans and Permanently Disabled Jockeys Fund and what they stand for. She has always been a true fan of the jockeys and respects the job they do and the dangers they are exposed to. She feels they are amazing athletes. Just recently brought on as a new committee member she feels honored and looks forward to being a part of helping fallen jockeys.
